GGI Doha Manager

Improving the state of our planet is something everyone in Grin Green International is passionate in doing as we continuously strive to achieve the vision of this social enterprise. As I’m someone involved in the club, I believe that protecting the wellbeing of our planet is one of the most important things as it offers us our necessary functions; it keeps us alive. Without the care we need to start providing for the planet, we may stop calling it home. Working collaboratively and constructing innovative ideas for the future can save our planet; that is the importance of Grin Green.

Arturo Merediz Thomassiny

Co-Head of School-Wide Development

My name is Arturo Merediz Thomassiny. I chose to join Grin Green International because of its focus on awareness about the environmental issues plaguing the world, and Qatar. I think that our generation needs to get involved as much as possible since we’re still young and can produce a lot of change for the better, which this club is certainly a part of. Apart from this, being situated in Qatar, we have many opportunities to use, including but not limited to the abundance of sunlight which opens up grand opportunities for renewable energies. Lastly, I think it’s important for us to spread the word about helping out the environment; in our school, the country, and internationally.

Ulviyya Karimova

Co-Head of Design

My name is Ulviyya Karimova, otherwise known as Ulia, and I’m part of both the design team and the community development team. I’m a junior in high school and this is my second year in Grin Green International in Doha. As teenagers, we are the upcoming generation responsible for the health and of the environment and planet. Grin Green International is an environmental organization dedicated to protecting our environment by promoting sustainable practices that help us bring the health of the earth back to a safe state. Our planet is at risk of facing irreversible damage, which will cause the eventual extinction of humans. It is important that we take action now, so that our future generations can live on a healthy planet with no risk of extinction. As someone who was raised in both city life and natural life, I can thoroughly understand both perspectives of living situations and help the GGID group work better together towards achieving Grin Green International’s goal, to think green, and Grin Green.
