During her three years with GGI in Hong Kong, she served as a Public Relationships Leader, where she was deeply involved in outreach, public speaking, and building connections beyond the school community. Her work included supporting outreach initiatives, representing AIS as a panel speaker at the Kellett Conference, and helping bring invited speakers to school talks, including Dana Winograd, co-founder of Plastic Free Seas.

One of the most meaningful challenges she faced through GGI was overcoming her fear of public speaking. By pushing herself to enter a speech competition and represent AIS at Kellett, she learned to prepare carefully, speak with confidence, and take on opportunities that once felt intimidating. Her proudest moment came after the Kellett Conference, when several students approached her to say she had spoken well and encouraged her to join MUN — a moment that made her feel proud of how far she had come.

Her experience with GGI helped her see sustainability not just as a school topic, but as something directly connected to social impact and future generations. It also shaped her life direction by building the confidence she needed to pursue new academic, career, and personal opportunities. She is now studying at the #1 business school in Canada and plans to continue engaging with sustainability through her university’s sustainability club.
